Since 1938 Stanley's has been a family tradition!
Stanley and Anna Ginalski purchased the boat yard and marina in 1938. They moved to the property and raised their two daughters Sophi and Bonnie along the shore of the beautiful Barrington Harbor. Having worked at the yard for years before the purchase Stanley was an experienced craftsman. He was recognized for his superior workmanship and commitment to excellence. The business thrived by servicing a mix of merchant fishing and pleasure boats.
Bonnie’s two sons Kevin and Stephen Terhune were soon working side by side with their Grandfather. Today they are the third-generation owners and operators of the boatyard and marina. Steve's wife Susan, and their son Ted, who represents our families fourth generation, are managing the office.
Many initiatives have been completed to modernize and transform the marina into an eco-friendly facility for families to enjoy for generations to come. We recycle engine oil, and both oil and gas filters. Other improvements include an advanced fire detection system in the storage sheds, waste water collection system, security cameras and free WiFi.
While the industry has changed through the years, one thing remains constant, the Terhune family commitment to delivery deliver quality services and customer satisfaction.
We invite you and your family to join us and start your own family traditions.
